The APA  Detroit Chapter is affiliated with the American Payroll Association, but is an autonomous and independent organization.


The Chapter is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to providing educational, communication, and networking opportunities for payroll professionals.

The Detroit Chapter has been Serving Payroll Professionals in Detroit and Southeastern Michigan since 1985.

“Know the Numbers 2017”

CPP Exam Preparation Class
Our 2017 CPP Exam Preparation Class, presented in conjunction with Schoolcraft College in Livonia, will be held Wednesday evenings beginning May 3rd and running through August 16th.  The class format is a lecture on a different payroll topic each week, plus two mini-exams to test your knowledge and preparedness.  For individuals currently certified as a CPP or FPC, the class is expected to be approved for up to 41 recertification credit hours (pending), based on your attendance.

Cost of the class will be $235 ($188 for seniors). Participants will need the 2017 edition of The Payroll Source book, available from the American Payroll Association at www.americanpayroll.org/store.  Class registration will open in late March or early April - please watch this space for registration details.

Our Chapter has established a group on LinkedIn. February Chapter Meeting
